Sherlock for Homes is an annual service event that the Alpha Phi Omega chapter at Creighton University organizes. Students from many areas of Creighton community spend part of their day going around Omaha and collecting nonperishable food items and other used items to donate to local charities.
Past items that have been donated have been kids clothing, toys and books. Even the smallest of items can make a huge difference in many people's lives.
Creighton students will be going around Omaha on Saturday, April 22, 2006 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. At this time, many small groups of students will be asking for donations. At the end of the day, all of the donations will be compiled and then taken to the Open Door Mission and other charitable organizations.
Residents in the Omaha area who would like to make sure that we stop to pick up your donations can fill out a form by clicking here. The information on this form will be sent to the chair of the Sherlock event, and will not be used for any purposes other than this one event. We want as many donations as possible and are willing to work with you to collect any items that you are able to donate.
