Daily Prayer

Love consists in sharing
what one has
and what one is
with those one loves.

Love ought to show itself
in deeds
more than in words.

I'd die a happy man if my calling of theology professor and Jesuit priest would would warrant the epitaph: "He helped us recognize God's presence in our lives."

I teach a variety of courses at Creighton at both undergraduate and graduate levels:
100: Christianity in Context;
300: Jesus Christ: Yesterday and Today;
400: Personal and Spiritual Dimensions of Leadership;
400: For the Greater Glory: History and Spirituality of the Jesuits
500: Finding God in Daily Life: Prayer and Discernment and Understanding and Dealing with Suffering: Hebrew and Christian Perspectives;
700: Spirituality for Americans: Thomas Merton's Contemplative Vision and Discernment of Spirits: Theory and Practice. Each course focuses on the mystery of God's presence a mong us and invites students first to theological reflection and then to personal appropriation of this mystery.
