Service

The brothers of Phi Kappa Psi are dedicated to the service of the university, local community, and national and international scenes in a variety of ways.
Annually, we organize and engage ourselves in a number of events benefiting those in need. A few of these philanthropies include our annual Phi Psi - Gamma Phi Haunted House, in which we decorate the entire basement and first floor of our house into a scary haunted maze and invite the Boys and Girls Clubs of America in Omaha to come and have a frightfully good time and enjoy in the Halloween Spirit. This year, we also raised funds to pay for the buses to transport one of the clubs who would have otherwise been unable to attend. We also engaged in fundraising so as to provide each boy and girl with face-paint and a pumpkin to decorate.

Phi Kappa Psi, NE Beta, also is active in organizing and running the Phi Psi Polar Plunge in which many members of our chapter receive pledges by alumni, friends, and family to take a dive into frozen Lake Zorinski in December. With rescue-workers on hand, we bravely dive into the bone-chilling water to raise funds for the Special Olympics, Nebraska.
Additionally, we raise funds through events such as the Theta Phi-Phi Psi Volleyball Tournament, Phi-Psi 500, Up Till Dawn, and Relay for Life. These funds are constructive in relieving the needs most present by today's disabled, infirmed, and less fortunate.

We are constantly looking for further opportunities to exhibit our care for those in need. If you believe that you have a need in which the brothers of Phi Kappa Psi, Nebraska Beta, could assist you, please contact the philanthropy chair as listed on the Contact page. Please understand that we are already engaged in a number of efforts, but will do our best in organizing an effort to aid those in need in whatever way possible.
