      What is Chlamydia?

Chlamydia is the most common sexually transmitted disease facing teens today. It is caused by the bacterium. Trachomatis, which can damage a woman's reproductive organs. Sometimes the symptoms can be mild or absent, serious complications can happen which can cause irreversible damage. Which basically means a woman can have infertility and she would never know because itís silent. It also can cause discharge from the penis or vagina.

      How common is Chlamydia?

Chlamydia is the most common reported bacterial infection. Also testing is not done if the infected person is already treated. From the ages 14-39 are infected with Chlamydia based on the U.S. national health system. Women are most likely re-infected if their partner did not get treated.

      What are symptoms of Chlamydia?

Chlamydia is known as the silent disease because three quarters of woman of infected men have no symptoms. Also you get a creamy white discharge from genital area
